Why the Access Fund exists

Peer support should be available to anyone who needs it, not just those who can pay for it. That belief has shaped ShareWell from the start.

The Access Fund started during Mental Health Awareness Month with an anonymous gift that funded the first 200 Core memberships. It's designed to grow over time through community contributions.

Every $25 covers one month of Core for one person. ShareWell covers the processing, so 100% of your gift funds a membership.

ShareWell's free Explore plan covers up to 4 Groups a month for anyone. The Access Fund opens up a full month of unlimited Core, for people who need more consistent support.

Who can apply?

Anyone, whether you're a current ShareWell member or new. If you're new, you'll create a free ShareWell account when you apply. The Access Fund is for people facing financial barriers to peer support, and self-identified need is enough.

Will anyone know I applied?

No. A Core membership activated through the Access Fund looks identical to any other Core membership.

How long does review take?

Applications received during Mental Health Awareness Month are reviewed at the end of May. After that, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You'll hear from us by email.

Can I apply more than once?

Yes. First-time applicants get priority. If spots remain, returning applicants are considered.

What does a month of Core include?

Unlimited Groups led by Peer Hosts, unlimited Workshops led by Coaches, and everything else in Core. Full plan details at sharewellnow.com/plans.

Where do contributions go?

100% of every gift funds a Core membership for someone who applies. ShareWell covers the processing.

Do sponsors get any recognition?

Yes. Sponsors get a Community Sponsor badge on their ShareWell profile (rolling out soon). You can also stay anonymous.

Is this only for May?

No. The Access Fund launched during Mental Health Awareness Month and continues year-round.
